This tank was used for training by the Iowa Army National Guard from 1947-1957 and went into display at Camp Dodge in 1958 at the East overlook. 2012 it was taken down to be refurbished for display in its new location by the Museum.

There appears to be a high number of accidents that occur along I-35 between Des Moines and Ames. Channel 13 Viewer Kody wanted to know if that number of accidents was related to weather along that stretch of interstate.
